The Syro Malabar Catholic Congress (SMCC) unit in Boston has been active since the inception of our church. Many activities were held by Syro Malabar Catholic Congress to support and nourish our community in spirituality with guidance from our religious leaders. The national unit is located in Chicago, led by our spiritual leader, Bishop Mar Joy Alappatt, and the national committee members are elected from all over the US.

Some notable Parish Community Activities led by the SMCC Boston Unit in the past:
Arranged preachers for annual parish retreats
Conducted affordable piano classes for children in the community
Organized dance classes for kids after Sunday Mass, helping young children gain stage exposure
Initiated Malayalam language classes for children through volunteer-led efforts
Led Way of the Cross during Lent and Rosary in October, strengthening parish prayer life
Prepared Pesaha Pal (Maundy Thursday tradition), supporting Holy Week parish activities
Awarded cash prizes to top academic (highest GPA) students to encourage youth
Celebrated Indian Independence Day with cultural programs, games, and community cookouts
Organized Annual Day events, including family competitions (e.g., singing contest)
Managed altar decoration during the pandemic, supporting liturgical activities
Contributed consistently to spiritual growth and community building within the parish
